We invite you to come get to know our community and landscape in the beautiful South Toe Valley - the base of the stunning Black Mountains- tallest on the east coast!
Talented South Toe-area chef, Aaron Tidwell, utilizes the freshest ingredients from Open Ridge and other local farmers to create a casual, family-friendly dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. As well, enjoy time just to chill and disconnect, play games (kids and grown-ups alike!), and stroll through the garden and young orchard.
The dining room seats 35 people, and all seated tickets are full priced. We also offer child tickets which includes separate food, under the kid tent, which they can grab and go -- eat while they play -- while you enjoy adult time within eyeshot and earshot. Kids on laps in dining room don't need a dining room ticket, of course.

Dig In! Yancey Community Garden
"At the Dig In! garden we grow and give away tons (literally) of vegetables each year. Volunteers do the majority of the work with help from two staff. All crops are grown using sustainable methods. Community partners help distribute what we grow to those who have difficulty providing enough food for their family. We believe that working together, everyone eats."
